Having grown up in East Grand Rapids and currently residing in the Forest Hills area, Michele T. Brown has found a passion for selling real estate for Keller Williams Realty.  In fact, Michele is a founding partner of the first Keller Williams offices in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo and has played a role in the recent expansion of Keller Williams Realty in Holland and Grand Haven.

Michele has also been an active member of the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors for more than 35 years.  She was voted Realtor of the Year in 2000 as a licensed salesperson.

She has been an active member of the Professional Standards Committee for several years and has also served on the Board of Directors for the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors.

As an agent, Michele is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), which represents the highest designation for sales associates, recognizing their professional accomplishments in experience and education.  Michele has also completed the Graduate Realtors Institute, an educational system dedicated to providing the knowledge needed for progressive real estate professionals to succeed.  The GRI accreditation recognizes Michele’s adherence to the Code of Ethics of the National Association of Realtors and her continued desire to provide the highest level of professional services to her clients.  Locally she was awarded membership in the Society of Distinguished Real Estate Professionals (SODREP), which is given to REALTOR members of the Grand Rapids Association of Realtors who have demonstrated commitment to professionalism through education, community service, political activity, business accomplishments and Association participation over a minimum ten-year period.

Outside the office, Michele’s love of her dogs have drawn her to showmanship of her three French Briards. She is a member of the American Kennel Club, the French Briard Club of America, the Atlantic Briard Club and the Michigan/Ohio Briard Club. However, her three Briards are not the only four-legged residents in her home. The small “love of her life” is Gaston, a Coton de Tulear.  As if that weren’t enough at one point  Michele and GL also cared for her parents’ two Bichons.  That’s right – the Browns have loved six dogs, all of whom have resided with them in their house.

Michele’s father, Dr. L. Vaughn Tremper, began practicing medicine in the Grand Rapids area in 1950.  He played a significant role in the growth of Metropolitan Hospital from a “house” on Lake Drive to the large 170 acres of all LEED-certified buildings plus hospital plus cancer center that exists today.

Michele has been a part of that significant community for almost fifteen years.  She is a Past Chairman and presently sits on the Board of Directors for the Metro Health Hospital Foundation and also on the Board of Directors for the Metro Health Hospital corporation.

Michele and GL have two children and 4 grandchildren. After graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder, their son Patrick was a professional tri-athlete and cyclist for many years and now is a top real estate agent in Boulder, Colorado.  Their daughter Kristin lives in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, with her husband, three daughters and one son.  Kristin graduated from Aquinas College, became a wife and Mom and has recently returned to join her parents in the “Family Business”

As a real estate agent Michele believes that honesty with clients is incredibly important because you become a part of the lives of the people you work with.  “We strive to provide unparalleled service that gets you…  moving.  We know real estate, we know people, and we care!”
