Northeast Grand Rapids is bounded by Fulton to the south and Division to the west. It consists mostly of older homes within the city limits – i.e., the Monroe Avenue N., Belknap/Lookout, Creston, Fulton Heights and Midtown neighborhoods — and moves into newer developments as you progress north and east – i.e., Grand Rapids Township, Northeast, Northview and Plainfield neighborhoods — with Rockford at its northern most boundary. Land east of the East Beltline is probably the newest area to be developed although new housing, schools, shops, and churches are popping up in many of these “outer” areas.
